Match abandoned
Yesterday’s Bet of the Day was voided when the English Premier League match between Bournemouth and Luton was abandoned early in the second half with the score at 1 – 1. The match was abandoned because Luton captain Tom Lockyer collapsed on the field of play and was taken to hospital where he is now recovering. I am sure you will all join me in wishing him a speedy recovery. If you followed up on this bet, your bookie should have refunded your stake by now.
The Premium Predictions Club had varying fortunes on Saturday. We won on the first pick, which we like to do, but then lost all of the next four. Then we staged an impressive recovery, winning twelve of the next fifteen, only to lose three of the last four. This 58% win rate was our worst score of the month and caused the December win rate to drop one point to 71%.

Regular visitors will know that I am conducting The No Lose Strategy experiment with Bet of the Day as of 1st October onwards. For this experiment, the default betting stake is 1 point. When there is a loss, the next stake is raised to compensate the bankroll. Before yesterday, the bankroll was exactly at the level it should be. Then, yesterday’s game was voided, so we have adjusted today’s stake to 2.44 points so that a winning bet will also deliver the amount we could have won yesterday.
At the end of the first month of combining The No Lose Strategy experiment with Bet of the Day, we have turned a loss of nearly 12 points into a profit of over 6 points. That’s a gain of over 18 points. However, we need to consistently repeat this month after month before we can call the experiment a success.
At the start of December, two months into our experiment, we were 16 points in profit, that’s another 10 points gained in November.
