Villa blocked by Sheffield Steel
An upturn in form did for us last night as Aston Villa had problems penetrating an unusually resolute Sheffield United defence. In fact, it was Sheffield that took the lead at 87 minutes. Aston Villa did manage to break through ten minutes later in added time but it was then too late for them to add the second that would have won the Bet of the Day for us.
So our winning run was curtailed at five in a row and we start from scratch again today.
Friday for The Premium Predictions Club saw us make a marginally worse performance than the previous day. Then we had six wins from nine whereas last night we had only five wins from nine. On the plus side, we are still just holding on to our 70% win rate for the month.

Regular visitors will know that I am conducting The No Lose Strategy experiment with Bet of the Day as of 1st October onwards. For this experiment, the default betting stake is 1 point. When there is a loss, the next stake is raised to compensate the bankroll.  Unfortunately, we lost yesterday, Consequently, to compensate the bankroll and restore it to where it would have been, today’s stake at today’s odds is raised to 2.89 points.
At the end of the first month of combining The No Lose Strategy experiment with Bet of the Day, we have turned a loss of nearly 12 points into a profit of over 6 points. That’s a gain of over 18 points. However, we need to consistently repeat this month after month before we can call the experiment a success.
At the start of December, two months into our experiment, we were 16 points in profit, that’s another 10 points gained in November.
